Touching lives of the underprivileged through training and education, scholarships and empowering them with means to improve their livelihood, Valliappa Foundation strives to better their socio-economic conditions. Facilitating research and higher education, women empowerment, community development and various other activities to serve the society, Valliappa Foundation has made the following impact:

Timely Support in Pandemic Outbreak

As soon as the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak was declared, Valliappa Foundation made timely efforts to serve the society by donating groceries, including 2,000 kg of rice, 300 kg of pulses, etc. Next, considering the significance of hand hygiene in fighting the pandemic, the foundation also donated 4000 bottles of 100 ml sanitizers, 50000-2 layered fabric reusable masks and 4000-nitrile gloves. Selfless contribution towards the PM’s Covid-19 relief fund was yet another major initiative towards attaining the betterment of society during the pandemic outbreak. Since then, Valliappa Foundation has come up with newer ways to help the society to get through this pandemic!

Scholarships Provided

The foundation has awarded scholarships to over 100 students of B.E./B.Tech. programs under various categories, such as the physically challenged, whose parents’ income is below 2,00,000/- lakhs per year, wards of deceased/serving defense personnel/ex-servicemen as well as based on performance in the extracurricular activities of NSS, NCC, YRC and RRC.

Training and Placement

Valliappa Foundation in association with Tech Mahindra Foundation offered Medical Coding training to 207 candidates and managed to successfully place 151 candidates out of this, which made up to a whopping 73% of the total candidates trained. This also included mobilization and counselling to ensure better placement of the candidates who completed their training.
